Week 46

March 29, 2023 Hello once again audience. To anyone who gets that reference, shoot me an email  . This week was a tiring one. More than a few times, when we came back to the apartment, I crashed exhausted. I even fell asleep on the floor  . I think the hardest part of missionary work is planting the seeds. "We're often planting seeds for the trees whose shade we'll never enjoy." We usually go somewhere, get rejected a whole bunch, all day, and that's pretty much how this whole week's been. But it is what it is sometimes. We just keep moving forward and try to have fun while we get our hands dirty. Also, we almost have no money... and food... We've been living off of rice and beans, and we're almost out of that too  . What happened is that when we came to the area, our biweekly money drop came in early, and we had to make it last 3 weeks, in a new house that didn't have a lot of food in it. March 22, 2023 Hellooooo... not too much happened this week. We did a service project on Thursday and for about 4 hours we moved around 750 cinder blocks, we were very tired that day. Then Friday we had to get up at 3 in the morning to take a bus up to the capital for zone conference, we were also very tired that day. Sunday was good, my companion and I were each able to give a talk in sacrament meeting. We had some really good lessons on Monday and yesterday we were able to organize a soccer activity for the youth, and we had a really good turn out, it was really fun. Not much else other than that. Been trying out cooking, guess I'm not as bad as I thought. Been trying to learn a few things on the piano seeing there's a keyboard in the house. I want to try to learn something new on my bass. Learned how to hand wash clothes; # trial by fire I want to try drawing a little more often as well, or at least start on a project. Trying to always be busy, even in my free time. Spiritua

March 15, 2023 Greetings from the land of the pineapples. There is a ton of dirt here, I have to brush off my shoes everyday or when I walk, I leave a trail in a cloud of dust. The people here are pretty nice, everyone says hello and we can easily squeeze in some contacts in between lessons. Jocotillo is just 2 main roads and a bunch of little offshoots to the sides. After working, all of the men hang out at the tiendas at the sides of the roads, half of them no longer wearing shirts, a lot of them drunk... Elder Marcia is awesome, he works hard and he's really funny too, we have fun everywhere we go. I've also starting trying to cook as of recent. Sometimes it's something a little unorthodox but it usually turns out better than just eating rice everyday. Spiritual thought: I was reading, I think in Luke, about when Christ, Peter, James, and John went up to the mount where Christ was transfigured. The Apostles fell asleep after a cloud descended upon the mount, Christ was t
