Week 24

October 27, 2022 Well, I'm writing this a little late, but here it is. Not a whole lot happened this week. We've been rejected pretty consistently, which stinks. But every day, we've had at least one really fantastic spiritual lesson, with people who we know could feel the spirit that we bring with our message. This has brought me the most joy so far in my mission, and really, in my 19 years of life, being able to make a difference in someone else's life. "Be the change you want to see in the world." If you're not content with the way things are, you have two options. You can stand by and do nothing, or you can do something about it. I challenge you to be that person who gives a crap. Who's not afraid to put in their two cents and then put in the work behind their talk. Always be humble. Don't be petty. Be realistic. Well tempered. Patient. And most importantly, loving. Do what you see to be right. Sacrifice, even when nobody but you sees it. Stay

Pday Gang: Elder Owens, Elder Marker, Elder Ellsworth and Elder Carter October 19, 2022 So the door fell off; that was fun to deal with. Also the mold is back... again... Other than that, the area's starting to open up, we're actually finding tons of people and it's getting hard to schedule times to go between the many locations we cover and align that with people's availability dates. You could say we're suffering from success, which is really nice. We've got a lot of complicated situations we're having to work out, but I know we'll be able to get it done. God's giving us the difficult situations because He knows Elder Ellworth and I are the guys who are gonna get the job done. The niƱos love us. They're always trying to get us to play soccer with them or a game of Uno, so we'll hang out with them for like 30 minutes, give them a Book of Mormon or a pamphlet and tell em next time we come we want to visit with them and their family together

Week 22

October 12, 2022 Another week. This one was actually really good though. We're finally getting past the initial opening the area stage,  and we're moving into phase 2. Now we have "functional" housing, a list of members' names in the area (no addresses or numbers  ), a general layout of the area, and a few interested people (tons of kids). So now we're just gonna go door to door looking for either inactive members (well over 40 in the area), and people who have any interest in learning about the gospel. So Monday and yesterday we've been able to actually start filling up our schedule with appointments with people and it feels really good to go out just teaching all day again. It's awesome to see when people are anxiously engaged in the lesson and you can tell that the spirit is confirming the truth that we share with them. It's literally a glow or brightness in their eyes. They get so excited and we love to see it, literally the best parts of our d

October 5, 2022 I accidentally named the past two emails week 19. Also the mosquitoes here are relentless. I'm like a magnet. Soo, not much happened this week. The mold is coming back... we played soccer with some kids, super fun. We plan on going back and trying to visit with their families, so I think that will go super well. We're still opening the area so there's still a lot of organizing and "office work" that we're doing, but we're almost done with that. This is literally all that happened. I got a haircut too.  . I'm having a blast though. The end Spiritual thought: general conference happened, you should check it out. The best messages I've ever heard. I honestly have so many favorite quotes and ideas but my favorite was some scriptures that I love. Matthew 6: 31-34 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?    32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) f
