Week 21
October 5, 2022
I accidentally named the past two emails week 19. Also the mosquitoes here are relentless. I'm like a magnet. Soo, not much happened this week. The mold is coming back... we played soccer with some kids, super fun. We plan on going back and trying to visit with their families, so I think that will go super well. We're still opening the area so there's still a lot of organizing and "office work" that we're doing, but we're almost done with that. This is literally all that happened. I got a haircut too. . I'm having a blast though.
The end
Spiritual thought: general conference happened, you should check it out. The best messages I've ever heard. I honestly have so many favorite quotes and ideas but my favorite was some scriptures that I love.
Matthew 6: 31-34
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
1 Nephi 3:7
7 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.
Matthew 11: 28-30 (my favorite scripture)
28 ¶ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
God is the literal Father of our spirits. He loves us perfectly, and wants us to be happy. He's given us scriptures, prophets, the Holy Spirit, and the power of prayer and personal revelation to help us know how to be the happiest in this life and the next. If you have questions, hit up your friendly neighborhood missionaries . Trust me we specialize in this kinda thing.
Love you all and wish you all a happy week
