May 11, 2023 Well, I made it. From here everyone says it's downhill. I can say now I've gotten into the groove of everything. Still learning and growing everyday, but it's all normal now. Somethings been nagging at the back of my mind telling me that the second half of my mission is going to be really different than the first. I feel like the first half helped me to make a lot of bigger changes, and the second half will be more of a fine tuning and endurance trial. But we'll see how it goes   I've got a year left to ride it out. I haven't written these past few weeks because I've just been working some things out. I've put a lot of effort into this area and we've seen some great progress. Super slow  , but considering my companion and I (two kids basically) are leading this branch of the Lord's battalion, I feel content that we're doing as the Lord desires. We're not slaving away, as some people think missionaries ought to, knocking doors...

April 19, 2023 Rather than share what I've done this week, I'd rather go right into some thoughts and insights I've had as I've pondered and meditated these past few days: When we go through the temple our first time, we make certain covenants with the Lord. This Gospel is founded wholly upon the principle of Love. "If ye love me, keep my commandments." To Love is to inevitably experience heartache, and those who love more are often more susceptible to be hurt. For such Christ invited us to "take up our cross" and follow Him. He invites us to Sacrifice. Last but not least Christ taught us the importance of talents. To grow and develop them, and then to Consecrate them for the benefit of all men. Talents can consist of: ch...

April 10, 2023 Ba Ha ba ba Ha ba ba da ca da Sooo we got transfer news, I'll be staying here and my comps taking off. I'll be receiving Elder Anderson; we've been in a district together before and he's super cool so I'm excited. This will also be my first transfer as senior comp leading an area. But, I mean, I've almost been here for a year, so I'm really not stressed about it. I also really like this area and I know Elder Anderson and I will get along so this will be an enjoyable transfer. I'm also looking forward to do some good hard work here. I feel I've tapped very little into the real potential I have, so I want to really start finding and utilizing that this transfer. Spiritual thought: Sunday was Easter, and though I could give a whole discourse on what happened and why we celebrate it, but I'd rather focus on the Who. This past week I've dedicated ample time and utilized many resources to study Who, What, Why, and How, Christ is who ...
