Semana 6: Mexico City MTC

Semana 6

June 25, 2022

This week was a little crazy, they moved our P-day to today, but we had to turn in the phones yesterday, so no phone calls this week. As a district we held an English fast every other day (We only spoke Spanish), which wasn't too difficult; good practice for going out to the field soon. Casa 28 is as crazy as always, pretty sure the reception desk knows us all by name. This was my last official week here but I don't fly out to Guatemala until Thursday. They say we will have a new schedule but that has yet to happen. We had hotdogs for one of the dinners and pretty much everyone in the casa got sick except for me and a few others. So don't eat the hotdogs. Not much else to report but I got a bunch of pictures this week. Since this is the last email I'll write from Mexico City I wanna say that my time here was amazing. In the month I've been here I've changed tremendously. Even if I went home tomorrow, I would be a completely different person then who I was when I came here. My outlook on life and the person I want to be has changed much for the better. I've loved my time here, especially the people I've met, but I'm ready for the field. I can always feel the spirit and I have a huge desire to share what I know to be true with others. I really like the quote (paraphrased), I've left my family for some time, so I can make other families eternal. I'm excited to get to Guatemala. But that's about all. I hope everyone has an amazing week. Also to answer a few questions, the weather here is in the 70s almost all the time, some days there's thunderstorms, others it's sunny. The samurai suit is not yet complete, but soon it will be done. Kind of have other priorities though. I also gave my first healing blessing this week, with everyone getting a little sick after the hot dogs. I can pretty much hold an intelligent conversation with anyone in Spanish now which is awesome.
